He was finally rushed to Sherpur District Hospital where the physicians pronounced him dead
Sherpur, Sept 21 - A tea vendor died after being electrocuted while attempting to connect electricity to his shop's stove on Saturday morning.
The victim, identified as 38-year-old Shahin Mia, was a resident of Paschim Nischintapur village in the Nanni union of Nalitabari upazila. The incident occurred around 7 a.m.
Monirul Alam Bhuiyan, officer-in-charge of Nalitabari Police Station, confirmed the incident.
According to local sources, Shahin was preparing to make tea when he tried to connect a mini electric motor to the stove. He accidentally came into contact with an exposed wire, which caused the electrocution.
Family members rushed him to a local doctor in Nanni Bazar before transferring him to Sherpur District Hospital. However, the attending physician pronounced him dead upon arrival.-UNB
