Man’s body found in Sylhet's pond

The body of an unidentified man was recovered from a waterbody near South Sarighat in Sarighat Bazar of Jaintiapur Upazila in Sylhet on Saturday. 

Jaintiapur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abul Bashar Mohammad Badruzzaman said  the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.

Acting on information from locals, police retrieved the body around 12pm on Saturday.

Police are working to  know the identity, he said.
