50,000 more cubic feet of stone seized in Sylhet

Around 50,000 cubic feet of stone, looted from a quarry in Companiganj upazila has been seized in a drive by the Sylhet Sadar Upazila administration.


The drive was conducted at a crusher mill in Dhopagul area of Sadar Upazila on Saturday afternoon.

Executive Magistrate Mehdi Hasan Hridoy led the drive. He was assisted by members of RAB-9. A huge quantity of illegally stored stones was seized during the drive.

Sylhet Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Khoshnur Rubaiyat confirmed the matter and said that around 50,000 cubic feet of stone have been seized from a crusher mill in a drive by the upazila administration, reports BSS. 

Legal action will be taken against those involved in this incident.
