Cumilla EPZ registers $616m export earnings in 7-month

Cumilla Export Processing Zone (CEPZ) has registered over US616 million export earnings during the first seven months of the fiscal 2024-25 (FY25).


Although the target of export in FY25 is $1000 million, the trend of export is indicating that CEPZ will cross the target in this fiscal.

Besides, CEPZ received around $14.50 million investment during the July to January in this fiscal.
 
During the last fiscal 2023-24, CEPZ registered around $711 million export earnings and $21 million investment.
 
Talking to BSS, the authorities concerned of the CEPZ informed that a total of 48 industrial establishments are conducting their production activities.

Out of the industrial establishment, 29 are fully foreign-owned enterprises, seven domestic-foreign jointly owned enterprises and 12 enterprises owned by domestic entrepreneurs, reports BSS.
