IMF delegation meets Jamaat representatives

A delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) today held a meeting with representatives of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in the afternoon at the party’s central office here.


Adviser to the IMF Mission Chief for Bangladesh Chris Papageorgiou led the IMF delegation. 

The delegation included IMF resident representative in Dhaka Maxim Krishko, deputy chief of mission Ivo Krezner and economic analyst Tawhid Elahi.

Jamaat central executive council member Mobarak Hossain, educationist Dr. Abdur Rob and Shafiullah joined the meeting from Jamaat side.

During the meeting, discussions were held on various aspects of Bangladesh’s sustainable economy, including the financial sector, tax structure, and social development issues, reports BSS.
