BNP won’t participate in upazila elections
Dhaka, Apr 16 - The BNP has decided not to participate in the upcoming upazila elections saying that Sheikh Hasina government and her subservient Election Commission, civil and police administration cannot organize a free, fair, participatory and acceptable election.
The environment for holding free, fair and participatory polls is not visible..
BNP took the decision in a standing committee meeting on Monday night. Party’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman virtually joined the meeting.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi sent a press release to media over the meeting.
