Dhaka, Oct 29 - A search committee has been formed to establish the Election Commission, Law Affairs Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul said on Tuesday.

The recommendation has been submitted to the Chief Adviser for signature, and official notification will be issued as soon as the signature is obtained today or tomorrow, said the adviser.

Earlier, on October 19, Chief Adviser's Special Assistant Mahfuj Alam said, the government will form a search committee following the existing law to constitute a new Election Commission for taking forward the relevant activities to hold the next national election.-UNB
