The first meeting of the Media Committee for BNP’s nominated candidate and party chairman, Tarique Rahman, in the Dhaka-17 constituency was held on Thursday at the party’s main election office in Banani, Dhaka.

Addressing the meeting, Abdus Salam, adviser to the BNP chairperson and chief coordinator of the Dhaka-17 election committee, alleged that some political parties are running false campaigns in the constituency. He urged the media to report accurate information, cautioning that without it, the public could be misled.

“Some political groups spread misinformation to confuse voters. However, the people of Bangladesh are highly aware and will not fall for such propaganda,” he added.

The meeting focused on election campaigning strategies, media operations, and methods to ensure that accurate information reaches the public. Farhad Halim Donar, adviser to the BNP chairperson, along with media committee members at various levels, attended the session.
