The government has decided to keep fuel prices unchanged at the consumer level for the month of May.

According to an official order issued today by the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources, the existing prices -- set earlier on April 18 -- will continue to be in effect.

As per directive sent to the Chairman of the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation, the current per-litre prices are as follows: diesel at Tk 115, octane at Tk 140, petrol at Tk 135, and kerosene at Tk 130.

The order states that, with approval from the appropriate authorities, these rates will remain unchanged throughout May. This means the existing pricing structure will continue to be effective from May 1, reports BSS.
