8-Hour Power Outage in Natore Areas Today

Several areas in Natore and Rajshahi will experience temporary power outages on Monday (September 28) as electricity authorities carry out emergency maintenance and tree-trimming work near power lines.

According to notices issued by Natore Palli Bidyut Samity-2 and Northern Electricity Supply PLC (NESCO), some areas in Natore will remain without electricity for eight hours, while outages in parts of Rajshahi will occur in phases.

In Natore, power supply will remain suspended from 8:30am to 4:30pm in areas under Feeder-1 of the Baraigram-1 (Banpara) substation. The interruption is required to cut tree branches near power lines.

The affected areas include parts of Kalikapur, Kalirgunn, Charnatabaria, Mahishbhanga Mollapara, Natabaria, Joari, Kalikapur Technical Collegepara, Khuddakachutia and Brihat Kachutia, along with surrounding areas.

If the maintenance work is completed ahead of schedule, power supply will be restored immediately, the authorities said.

In Rajshahi, electricity supply will be suspended in several areas in phases to facilitate the cutting of tree branches along the 33-kV Katakhali-Airport power line under the 11-kV bypass feeder.

According to the schedule, power supply will remain suspended from 7:30am to 10am in Omarpur, Kuchpara, Masterpara and Namopara and surrounding areas.

A separate outage will take place from 10am to 2pm in areas stretching from Survey College to Khorkhori.

The authorities have expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience and requested customers in the affected areas to cooperate during the maintenance work.
