Dhaka, Aug 30 - The State Guest House Jamuna, the office of Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus, has become a plastic bottle-free zone.

Syeda Rizwana Hasan, adviser for environment, forest, and climate change, spearheaded the initiative and urged her fellow members of the advisory council to cease using plastic bottles.

Chief adviser Yunus, endorsed the idea, leading to Jamuna now being recognized as a plastic bottle-free zone.

According to Shafiqul Alam, the chief adviser’s press secretary, it has been about a week since the State Guest House stopped using plastic bottled water. "Initially, I thought it wouldn't be possible, but it's been about a week since we made the switch," he said. - UNB
