Dhaka – The newly-appointed head coach of Bangadesh National Football team, Englishman Jamie Day intends to play eye-catching attacking football to make a good result in the ensuing seven-nation SAFF Championship in Dhaka terming his job as tough challenge.Jamie Day disclosed his desire while he met with the BFF Vice President and chairman of the National team committee Kazi Nabil Ahmed MP along with Bangladesh’s assistant coach Staurt Paul at the BFF office on Wednesday.
BFF member and manager of the national football team Satyajit Das Rupu and BFF general secretary Abu Nayem Shohag were also present in the meeting.
The BFF officially gave the responsibilty of the national football team to them in a view to achieve good result in the SAFF chamnpionship and handed over the jersey of the national football team at the meeting.
The residential camp and the training session of the national football team begins on Thursday.
The seven-team SAFF Championship 2018 will begin in Bangladesh in the first week of September.
Hosts Bangladesh, which was placed in Group A of the championship along with Nepal, Pakistan and Bhutan, will play Bhutan on September 4, Pakistan on Septemeber 6 and Nepal on September 8.India, the Maldives and Sri Lanka are placed in Group B of the Championship. UNB
