99.50 lakh cattle sacrificed on Eid-ul-Azha

A total of 99,50,763 cattle have been sacrificed across the country on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha this year.

As many as 8,57,521 more cattle have been slaughtered this year compared to previous year as 90,93,242 cattle were sacrificed last year.

A total of 24,91,768 cattle including cows, buffalos, sheep and others were slaughtered in Dhaka division, 21,28,459 in Chattogram, 19,98,128 in Rajshahi, 9,26,209 in Khulna, 4,98,937 in Barishal, 3,92,583 in Sylhet, 11,38,896 in Rangpur, 3,75,783 in Mymensingh, reports BSS.
