Alliance Francaise Dhaka celebrates its 65th anniversary.



Alliance Française, Dhaka celebrated 65 year anniversary with an array of programs, all of which encompass a harmonious blend of Bengali and French culture, from Friday 4 October 2024 to Thursday 17 October 2024, with a theatre production of Laurie Cannac’s ‘Invisible Stories’, an Art Film Festival featuring the works of François Levy, the launching of Iftekhar Anwar’s ‘Folk Melodies of Bangladesh’.

The celebrations came to a head on Friday 18 October 2024 with a reception, a narrative exhibition of an animated feature film titled ‘Song of Jhinuk’ by Afroza Hossain Sara and an exclusive concert of Bibi Tanga, whose audience comprised of Ambassadors from a number of foreign embassies, journalists from renowned newspapers, various artists, teachers, staffs and members of Alliance française de Dhaka, close personnel and the representatives from the Bangladesh government. – Press release
