While the people of Bangladesh celebrated, the situation in Gaza presented a stark contrast. Palestinians in Gaza commemorated Eid amidst ongoing conflict, facing dwindling food supplies and the harsh realities of war. Following the prayers, Dr. Yunus is scheduled to exchange Eid greetings with dignitaries from various sectors at his office in Tejgaon, as confirmed by his Deputy Press Secretary, Abul Kalam Azad Majumder.
Earlier, Dr. Yunus had extended his heartfelt greetings to the nation, wishing the people of Bangladesh a joyous Eid-ul-Fitr. "May this Eid bring peace, happiness, and prosperity. I hope everyone travels safely and joyfully with their loved ones," he said in his message.
In a separate message, Tarique Rahman also sent Eid greetings to the people of Bangladesh and the global Muslim Ummah, celebrating the spirit of unity and peace during this auspicious time.
