Fire at Satkhira BLISS Hospital brought under control

A fire that broke out at BLISS Hospital in Satkhira this afternoon was brought under control through the joint efforts of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Fire Service personnel.


According to a BGB press release, the fire erupted at the hospital in the Palashpol area near Chowrangi Mor, adjacent to Khulna Mor in Satkhira town.

On receiving the information, two platoons from Satkhira Battalion (33 BGB), led by Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Kazi Ashikur Rahman, rushed to the scene with firefighting and rescue equipment.

BGB personnel joined the firefighting and rescue operations, assisted in bringing the blaze under control, and ensured security in and around the hospital premises.

All patients were evacuated safely through the coordinated efforts of the BGB and Fire Service personnel, reports BSS.

No casualties have been reported so far, the press release added.
