18 incidents of vehicle torching reported in 30 hrs till early Monday

A total of 18 vehicle torching incidents were reported across Bangladesh from 4 am on Sunday to 10 am on Monday, Fire Service has said.

Of these, 10 attacks were reported in Dhaka City Corporations, said Talha Bin Jasim, station officer of Fire Service and Civil Defense media cell on Monday.

The fire official said that a total of 14 incidents of arson were reported in Dhaka division, and 4 in Chattogram division.

A total of 13 buses, two trucks, one private car, one CNG auto-rickshaw, and one human hauler were torched during this period.

Thirty-six units of fire service and civil defense and 216 firefighters were engaged to extinguish the blazes, added the fire officer, reports UNB.
