Dhaka, Jan 6 -- A fire broke out at a highrise building in the capital's Banglamotor area on Thursday morning.

Fire services officer Rozina Akter said the blaze began at the 10th floor of the 11-storey ‘Rahat Tower’ around 11.05 and soon engulfed the building.

On information, nine fire tenders were rushed to the spot to contain the blaze, she said. "A probe has been ordered to ascertain the exact cause of the fire." – UNB
