Firefighters recover 2 burnt bodies from Karwan Bazar slum

Dhaka, Jan 13 - Firefighters recovered the burnt bodies of two people after a fire broke out at Mollabari slum in Dhaka’s Karwan Bazar early today. 

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. 

The fire broke out at the slum around 2:23 am and soon engulfed it, said Anwarul Islam, warehouse inspector of Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters (media cell). 

On information, 13 firefighting units rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze around 3:40 am. 

Later, the firefighters recovered two burnt bodies from the slum. Cause of the fire could not be known immediately. - UNB
