15 shops gutted in fire in Bogura

A total of 15 shops were gutted in a fire at Shapla Hawkers Market in the town this morning.

The fire originated at around 7:30 am at the hawkers market in Station Road area. Being informed, eight fire fighter units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after two hours, reports BSS.

Assistant Director of district Fire Service and Civil Defence Monjil Haque said causes behind the fire could not be known immediately. Businessmen estimated that the loss would be Tk one and a half crore.
