BGB controls fire in Banderban



Bandarban, May 18 - A fire broke out at Thuisapara in Banderban, brought under control by 38 Battalion of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).

The fire broke out on Friday (May 17), caused damage to several homes around. 

Upon receiving news of the fire, BGB members quickly mobilized from Jinapara BGB camp to Thuisapara. They worked tirelessly to control the fire, utilizing various methods and firefighting equipment. By noon, they managed to bring the situation under control.

Some houses were burnt in Thuisapara fire. However, their other assets were saved.

Several mountain dwellers were injured in the fire while attempting to extinguish the flames. The medical team at the BGB camp provided them with immediate primary care and necessary medication.

Food supplies were provided to the affected families from the Jinapara BGB camp later in the day.-UNB
