Hearing his screams, locals came to the spot and informed the fire service.

On information, firefighters with the help of police managed to tame the blaze.

The injured Medical Officer Moniruzzaman was rescued by the police and admitted to a local hospital.

A huge amount of medicine and other medical equipment in the storeroom burnt due to the fire.

Police suspected that Moniruzzaman's relatives might have been involved in this incident as there has been a dispute between them regarding land acquisition. Besides, several cases are also going on.

On Wednesday morning, a case was filed against 10 named and 15 unnamed people following a complaint lodged by Moniruzzaman.-UNB
