Fire at Purana Paltan Building under control

A fire that broke out in a multi-storey building in the capital's Purana Paltan area this morning was brought under control around half an hour.


The fire originated on the 6th floor of the 10-storey building at 50 Purana Paltan around 6:55 in the morning, fire service sources said.

Five fire engines from Siddiqbazar Fire Station rushed to the place of occurrence and doused the flame at 7:18am today, reports BSS. 

There was no report of casualties and the cause behind the fire and the extent of damage could not be known immediately, the sources said.
