
Fire at an Uttara building early Friday, UNB_11zon
Dhaka, Jan 16 — At least three people were killed after a fire broke out in a residential building in the capital’s Uttara on Friday morning.
The identities of the deceased are yet to be confirmed, said Talha Bin Zasim, Station Officer of the FSCD headquarter media cell.
The fire started on the second floor of the seven-storey building at 7:50am, located on Road No. 18, Sector 11, Uttara.
Two fire-fighting units rushed to the scene and brought the fire under control by 8:25am, the officer added.
Thirteen people were rescued and taken to Kuwait Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined. - UNB
