Flood death toll hits 13, affects 4.5M people

The death toll from recent floods has risen to 13, with 4.5 million people affected across 11 districts. As of Friday, nearly 888,000 families are currently displaced.

The hardest-hit districts include Feni, Cumilla, Noakhali, Lakshmipur, Brahmanbaria, Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Khagrachhari, Sylhet, Moulvibazar, and Habiganj.
Casualties include four deaths in Cumilla, three in Cox’s Bazar, two in Chattogram, and one each in Feni, Noakhali, Lakshmipur, and Brahmanbaria.
Despite the severe impact, Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief Secretary Md Kamrul Hasan reported that the situation is gradually improving, according to the latest weather forecasts.
