The price of the broiler chickens has begun to go down at the consumers’ level.

The price of the broiler chickens has begun to go down at the consumers’ level.

It has been become possible after the declaration that the broiler chickens will be sold at Tk 190-195 per kg at farm level during the month of Ramadan.

During visit to Karwanbazar kitchen market on Friday morning, it was seen that the price of broiler chickens ranged from Tk 245 to Tk 250 a kg.

The price of Sonali chickens has also declined. It was being sold at Tk 350-Tk 360 per kg.

On Thursday, broiler chickens were sold at Tk 260-Tk 270 per kg and Sonali chickens were sold at Tk 360-Tk 380 per kg.

No crowd was seen in the chicken shops. As most of the restaurants are closed during Ramadan, the demand for chickens has decreased. There are also few buyers in the vegetable market.
