The government has approved the procurement of 1.20 crore litres of soybean oil for the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB).



The government has approved the procurement of 1.20 crore litres of soybean oil for the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB), a state-run agency organisation under the commerce ministry.
The total cost of the procurement project will be Tk208.82 crore.
Commerce Ministry sources said TCB's soybean oil procurement target for the current financial year 2023-2024 is 26.40 crore litres. So far, a total of 3.5 million liters of soybean oil procurement contract has been completed.
In this situation, in view of the ongoing purchase plan of the organization, TCB has taken the initiative to procure 1.20 crore liters of soybean oil through two separate tenders. Out of that, 80 lakh liters will be purchased through re-tendering and another 50 lakh liters of soybean oil will be purchased through a new tender.
