Dhaka, Oct 16 - Bangladesh Food Safety Authority conducted a mobile court in a hotel located in Dhaka’s Tejgaon area on Monday.
Magistrate of the food authority Md Akhtaruzzaman conducted the mobile court in the afternoon at the Holiday Inn Hotel.
During the drive , the hotel authority was able to show their trade license, fire license, premium license, health certificate of employees, water test paper and others
The kitchen environment and freezing system were found quite well. As the bread cutting machine was near the basin, they were alerted and ordered to be kept in a safe place. In addition, no anti-food law activities were observed in the hotel’s kitchen.
During the drive, the hotel authority was instructed to maintain cleanliness in accordance with the relevant rules of the Food Safety Act in the production, storage, processing, storage and sale of food items, follow the rules to avoid food preservation and consumer health risks and posters with guidelines on what to do to ensure safe food.
Bangladesh Food Safety Authority’s Safety Inspector Md Aslam Bhuiyan and other members of Bangladesh Food Safety and a team of Ansar Battalion were present during the drive.
"We will run such mobile courts every day," said Executive Magistrate Akhtaruzzaman.
