Chattogram custom to auction 25,000 kg apples Thursday
Chattogram Custom House will auction 25,000 kilograms of apples on Thursday.
Chattogram Custom House will auction 25,000 kilograms of apples on Thursday (October 19).
The auction will take place at the auction branch of the Custom House around 11:00 am. The per kg price has been set at Tk166 for the auction.
Confirming the matter, Abdul Hannan, deputy commissioner of the Custom House said an organization under the banner of Madina Trading Company imported the apples from China in April this year. Since the importer did not release the delivery, the item was registered with the customs for auction.
On the other hand, interested traders in the auction said these apples were imported six months ago. So, there is a doubt about the quality of these apples.
