Bidyananda's '10 taka rozar bazaar' for the underprivileged

Patuakhali: Three hundred underprivileged and low-income families received food assistance from the NGO Bidyananda Foundation's '10 Taka Rozar Bazar' program on Great Language Day at Kalapara in Patuakhali. At a price of only 10 taka, poor and helpless families have got the opportunity to buy essential food items including rice, pulses, chickpeas, salt, eggs, fish, meat, vegetables, noodles, oil from this market. Today Wednesday (February 21) at 10 am in Kalapara Central Shaheed Minar grounds, the day-long super shop of 10 taka opened the purchase program for the low income people.

On Wednesday 10 a.m. State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief, principal Md. Mohibbur Rahman Mohib inaugurated the  '10 taka rozar bazaar' program. Homeless old woman Manwara Bibi got a new house key, divorcee MST. Poppy, Rahima Bogum got two sewing machines, poor Lal Mia Ghazi, Abdul Latif got trade goods, Farooq Hossain, a day laborer, got a new van, Ruma Begum, Chakina Begum, Sona Bhanu got cow. Kalapara UNO Md. Jahangir Hossain gave a welcome speech at the '10 Taka Rozar Bazar' program under the chairmanship of Bidyananda Foundation Board Member Md. Jamal Uddin. Kalapara Municipal Mayor Bipul Chandra Howladar, Upazila Awami League Secretary Abdul Motaleb Talukdar, Upazila Women Awami League Convenor principal Fatema Akhtar Rekha, Kalapara Police Station OC Ali Ahmed and others were present as special guests.

In his speech, State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief, principal Mohib said, "Bidyananda Foundation's activities are humane and commendable. They stand by people in various disasters. I will have my support to complete this program successfully across the country for the underprivileged and poor people.

Bidyananda Foundation board member Md. Jamal Uddin said, 'The market value of these products purchased for just 10 taka is 1000-1300 taka. Biscuits, semolina, school bags, umbrellas, t-shirts, notebooks and pens are also available in our super shop. - Gofran Biswas Palash
