Primary School Gold Cup Football tournament kicks off in Dinajpur
Dinajpur, 10 April - Primary School Gold Cup Football tournament was inaugurated on Pilot School & College ground under Hakimpur Upazilla at Hili in Dinajpur today.
Hakimpur upazila executive officer Ashok Bikram Chakma was present as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony, with upazila assistant primary education officer Md. Ruhul Amin in the chair.
Huge enthusiasm and excitement was seen among the students with this tournament, which was held with the participation of students from all government primary schools of Hakimpur Municipality.
A festive atmosphere was prevailed on the field with the presence of school teachers, parents, and local sports enthusiasts centering on the opening match.
The organizers said that such competitions will play an important role in increasing children's interest in sports, as well as their physical and mental development.
On the day, Dhakhin Basudebpur Primary School beat Churi Patti Primary School by 1-0 goal in the inaugural match.BSS
