Rajshahi Stars set to debut AFC Women’s League
Dhaka, 8 Aug - Bangladesh women's club champions Rajshahi Stars FC will make their debut in the AFC Women's Champions League this month, with the team beginning preparations for the continental competition.
The players and coaching staff paid a courtesy visit to the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) on Friday before starting training scheduled to commence Saturday.
The preliminary stage will be played in Malaysia from Aug. 17-23. Drawn in Group A, Rajshahi Stars will face India's East Bengal, hosts Sabah FA and Guam's Rovers FC. Head coach of Rajshahi Stars Golam Robbani Choton said the team would enter the tournament aiming to make history after completing its preparations.
“This is a historic opportunity for us. We want to prepare well and represent Bangladesh with a strong performance on the continental stage,” Choton said.BSS
