Spain Ambassador calls on to State Minister for Sports

DHAKA - Spain Ambassador Francisco de Asis Benitez 
Salas called on to State Minister for Youth and Sports Mohammad Zahid Ahsan 
Russel, MP, at his secretariat office today. 

   During the call on, the Ambassador of Spain highly praised the development 
of sports in Bangladesh in various disciplines in recent times. He also 
informed the State Minister for Sports that Spain wants to cooperate in the 
development of football in Bangladesh.

   The Ambassador expressed the intention of the Spanish government to 
cooperate in the construction of stadiums in Bangladesh and expressed 
interest in laying turf at the Sheikh Russel Mini Stadium under construction 
in different upazilas.

   Youth and Sports Ministry's Senior Secretary Akhter Hossain and Bangladesh 
Football Federation President Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin were also present  during the call on.BSS
