Ctg. Abahani, Rahmatganj split point
Dhaka, 8 July - Chittagong Abahani Limited split points with Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society when their match ended in a 2-2 goals draw in the Bangladesh Premier League football held Saturday at Bir Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj.
After the barren first half, Nigerian forward Thankgod finally broke the deadlock scoring the first goal for Rahmatganj in the 57th minute of the match.
Chittagong Abahanai Limited however staged a brilliant fight back as forward Ekbal Hussain restored the parity in the 63rd minute of the match.
Chittagong Abahani took the lead as their Nigerian forward Ojukwu David Ifegwu scored the second goal in the 65th minute, but it was forward Khondoker Ashraful Islam who denied Chittagong's victory scoring the second goal for Rahmatganj in the 84th minute of the match.
With the day's outcome, the port city team Chittagong Abahani Limited collected 18 points from 18 matches while the traditional old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj also secured 18 points playing the same number of outings.
