Dhaka, 12 July - Nepal women's football team's Head Coach Ananta Raj Thapa is found optimistic with his team and aim to win the two matches against Bangladesh.
Nepal face Bangladesh in the first match of the two-match FIFA International Women's football series scheduled to be held Thursday at Birshreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city's Kamalapur area at 5.30 pm.
"The team have good coordination at the moment and I hope the girls will give their level best to win the two matches against Bangladesh," said the Nepali team Head Coach at a pre-match press conference held Wednesday at Bangladesh Football Federation's conference room.
Nepal team must be boosted in return of their key forward Sabitra Bhandar.
The visiting side, however, is much ahead of Bangladesh in preparation. The girls of Nepal played four matches each in these three months from last February to April. Of these, two are friendly and two are Olympic qualifiers.
Nepal team's Captain Anjila Tumbapo Subba said: "The two matches are going to be a competitive one because Bangladesh have some quality players but we have also good squad and prepared to take the challenge."
"It doesn't matter what's the results of the matches as the result is a
rolling process. But we'll play our best for giving to assess our performance through the series," she added.
