Sunrisers reach semis in U-14 Academy Cup football

 DHAKA - Sunrisers Football Academy, Brahmanbaria, as
the second team, reached to the semifinal of the Bashundhara Kings BFSF U-14
Academy Cup football defeating Mohammedan Football Academy, Pirojpur by 4-0
goals held today (Friday) at outer stadium adjoining the Bangabandhu National
Stadium in the city's Paltan.

   In the proceeding, Miraz opened an account scoring the first goal for
Sunrisers in the 24th minute while Masud Rana doubled the lead for Sunrisers
in the 42nd minute of the match.

   Masud Rana further widened the team's margin scoring his second and third
goal for Sunrisers in the 45th minute while Abu Sayed completed the winners'
tally scoring the fourth goal in the 59th minute of the match.  

   Masud Rana of the winning team was adjudged the player of the match for
his impressive performance.

   In the day's second match, Rohimnagar Football Academy blanked Fulbari
Football Fighters' by 3-0 goals held at the same venue.

   In the day's match, Sajedul Islam Zahid, who was named the player of the
match for his brilliant performance, scored both the goals for Rohimnagar
Football Academy. He was well supported by skipper Foridul Islam who scored a
lone goal.

   Earlier, Football Academy Derai, Sunamganj as the first team, moved to the
semifinal beating Fulbari Football Fighters, Kurigram by a solitary goal

   Sponsored by Bashundhara Kings, twelve football academy teams, split into
four groups, are taking part in the meet, which is being held by the
cooperation of National Sports Council and Bangladesh Football Federation.BSS
