Sunrisers face Bhairab in U-14 Academy Cup final tomorrow

DHAKA -Sunrisers Football Academy, Brahmanbaria take on  Bhairab Football Academy, Kishoreganj in the grand final match of Bashundhara Kings BFSF U-14 Academy Cup football scheduled to be held tomorrow at outer stadium adjoining the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city’s Paltan.

The title-deciding final kicks off at 6 pm, following the place-deciding match between Football Academy Derai and Chhagalnaiya Football Academy that begins at 3 pm.

Earlier on way to the final, Sunrisers Football Academy booked their spot of final when they edged past Football Academy Derai, Sunamganj by a solitary goal in first semifinal while in the second semifinal Bhairab Football Academy, Kishoreganj defeated Chhagalnaiya Football Academy, Feni by 4-3 goals in penalty shootout after the regulation time ended in a 1-1 goal draw.

Earlier, Sunrisers Football Academy split points with Abdul Hamid  Football Academy playing to a goalless draw in their first match and ensured their semifinal spot after crushing Mohammedan Football Academy by 4-0 goals in their second match.

While Bhairab Football Academy played out to a 2-2 goal draw with Epyllion Football Academy in their first match and ensured their last four spot defeating SFCA Football Coaching by 3-2 goals in their second match.         

Sponsored by Bashundhara Kings, twelve football academy teams, split into four groups, are taking part in the meet, which is being held by the cooperation of National Sports Council and Bangladesh Football Federation.BSS
