Bangladesh complete their journey empty-handed
Dhaka, 12 Sept - Bangladesh completed their assignments in the four-team Group H of the AFC U-23 Asian Cup Qualifiers in empty hand losing to the Philippines by O-1 goal in the last match at the Chonburi Stadium in Thailand on Tuesday.
With the day's frustrating defeat, Bangladesh finished 4th and last in the four-team group losing all the three matches.
The Philippines, which struggling at the bottom of the group behind Bangladesh from very beginning, advanced to the 3rd place with three points three matches for their maiden and creditable victory over Bangladesh
Hosts Thailand and Malaysia, which dominated the Group H with all-win run securing full six points from two straight matches, due to face each other Tuesday evening to decide the group champions.
