Bangladesh play goalless draw with Nepal

DHAKA - Bangladesh split point with touring Nepal when their match ended in a tame goalless draw in the SAFF U-19 Women's Football Championship that has begun from today (Saturday) at Birshreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city's Kamalapur.

     In the day's match, Bangladesh dominated almost the proceeding but finally they had to left the field with one point.

     Bangladesh will play their second match against Bhutan on Monday (Dec 13) meet strong India on Friday (Dec 17) and play their last match against Sri Lanka on December 19.

     Earlier, in the day's first match held at the same venue, Bhutan got off to a flying start in the Championship when they dumped lowly Sri Lanka by 5-0 goals in the one sided affairs.

     Monday's matches: Bhutan vs Bangladesh at 3 pm and Sri Lanka vs India at 7 pm.
