Bangladesh face Bhutan tomorrow

Dhaka, 7 March- Motivated Bangladesh U-16 national eve football team face minnows Bhutan in their third match of the SAFF U-16 Women’s Championship scheduled to be held tomorrow (Friday) at ANFA Complex in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The match kicks off at 3.15 pm (BST).

Bangladesh already reached final of the SAFF U-16 Women’s Championship following their two successive victories and the girls in red and green upbeat to maintain their winning run against Bhutan as well.

“There is no scope to take Bhutan lightly and my girls are very much series for Bhutan match,”said Bangladesh team’s head coach Saiful Bari Titu during the team’s practice session at the match venue.

As it’ll be the last match before the big final, so the girls would try to skip card problem, suspension and injury problem in the Bhutan match, he added.

Team’s manager Amirul Islam Babu said “Although Bhutan is good team but we are more focusing for the final match. As we have one match to play against Bhutan … so I hope the players are confident to show good brand of football and we want to go to the final with full nine points,”    

Bangladesh earlier made winning start in the tournament beating Nepal by 2-0 goals and confirmed their spot of final defeating India by 3-1 goals in their second match.
