Abahani blank Rahmatganj 3-0 in BPL
Dhaka, 30 March-Abahani Limited Dhaka blanked Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society by 3-0 goals in the second phase of ABG Bangladesh Premier League Football held at Shaheed Birshreshtha Flight Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj on Saturday.
In the proceeding, Brazilian forward Washington Brandao, Saint Vincent forward Cornelius Stewart and Brazilian midfielder Fernandes scored one each to secure victory for Abahani Limited.
The match was locked goalless at the breather.
After the barren first half, Brandao finally broke the deadlock scoring the first goal in the 49th minute and Stewart doubled the lead scoring the second goal in the 59th minute of the match.
Fernandes completed the tally scoring the third goal for Abahani Limited in the 63rd minute.
With the day's victory, the sky blue Dhanmondi outfit Abahani Limited secured 18 points from ten matches while the old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj remained at their previous credit of seven points playing the same number of outings.
