Kings reach Federation Cup semis

Dhaka, 16 Apr- Bashundhara Kings reached semifinal of them ABG Bashundhara Federation Cup football when they blanked old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society by 2-0 goals in the second quarterfinal held at Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani Stadium in Gopalgnaj on Tuesday. 

In the day’s match, midfielder Sohel Rana and Nigerian forward Mfon Sunday Udoh scored one in both half to secure victory for Kings.

Sohel Rana put Kings ahead in the 25th minute with a left footer shot after taking a pass from Robson from the danger zone.

After the breather, Udoh sealed the victory scoring the second goal for Kings in the 62nd minute of the match. After receiving a pass from Robson onrushing Udoy ran down and sent the ball to the net with a lofted shot after dodging past to Rahmatganj custodian who came forward to clear the ball.

Rahmatganj however tried their best to stage a fight back in the match but could not convert any in the remaining proceeding.

Earlier, on April 2 last, Mohammedan confirmed their spot of last four of the Federation Cup defeating Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra by 2-1 goals in the first quarterfinal.
