Three matches of BPL football to be held tomorrow

Dhaka, 16 May- Three sixteen round matches of ABG Bashundhara Bangladesh Premier League football will be held tomorrow (Friday) at three separate venues across the country.

On the day, Abahani Limited , Dhaka face bottom-ranked Brothers Union Club at Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani Stadium in Gopalganj and Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra 
meet Chittagong Abahani Limited at Bashundhara Kings Arena in Dhaka while Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club face Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society at RAfiq 
Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh.

All the matches kick off at 4 pm. After the fifteen round matches, Abahani Limited stand third position in the league table with 26 points from 15 matches while the all-orange Gopibagh outfit Brothers Union placed bottom of the table with seven points playing the same number of matches.

On the other hand, the post city team ‘Chittagong Abahani Limited’ stand fifth position in the league table with 18 points from 15 matches while Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra placed eighth position with 15 points playing the same number of matches.

Popular black and white Motijheel outfit Mohammedan Sporting Club stand second position in the league with 28 points from 15 matches while the traditional old Dhaka 
outfit Rahmatganj are at ninth position in the table playing the same number of outings.

Earlier, in the first leg, Abahani Limited, Dhaka beat Brothers Union Club by 3-2 goals held at Rajshahi District Stadium while Chittagong Abahani Limited defeated Sheikh Russel by 2-1 goals and Mohammedan Sporting Club shared point with Rahmatganj playing out to a 1-1 goal draw, both held at Munshiganj district Stadium in Munshiganj.

Meanwhile, in the remaining two fifteen round matches to be held on the following day (Saturday), defending champions Bashundhara Kings face Bangladesh Police 
Football Club at Bashundhara Kings Arena while Lieutenant Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club will play against Fortis Football Club at Rajshahi District Stadium in 
Rajshahi.
