Abahani, Fortis register victory

Dhaka, 4 July  - Abahani Limited Dhaka and Fortis Football Club won their respective matches of the BFF U-18 Football League held at two separate venues in the city on Thursday. 

At the government physical education training ground, Abahani Limited defeated Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society by 4-1 goals.

In the proceeding, Mehedi, Sakib, Sifat and Raksam scored one goal each for the winners’ in the 34th, 57th, 78th and 90+3rd minutes respectively while Raihan netted a lone goal for traditional old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj in the 45+1st minute of the match.

At armed-police battalion field, Fortis Football Club, came from behind, beat Bangladesh Police Football Club by 2-1 goals.

In the day’s match, Swe Mong Sing Marma and Md. Santo scored one goal each for Fortis in the 24th and 70th minute respectively while Sonet Shek netted a lone goal for Police in the 14th minute of the match. 

In the day’s another match, Lieutenant Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club split point with Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited when their match ended in a 1-1 goal draw held at Bashundhara Kings practice ground.

In the day’s match, Ariful put Sheikh Jamal ahead in the 34th minute from a spot kick while Yousuf restored the parity for Mohammedan in the 40th minute of the match.
