Dhaka, 8 Oct -The domestic football season of 2024-25 has been deferred by one and half month and the new football season will begin from the end of November.

The decision has been taken in a Professional League Management Committee's (PLMC) emergency online meeting held today (Tuesday).

PLMC's chairman Imrul Hasan through a video message informed that the venues, which had nominated for the upcoming season, are not yet ready.

As the venues are not ready, it has been decided to start the football season at the end of November instead of October 11 on the appeal of the clubs and the overall context.

The chairman of the PLMC also hoped to prepare the field by discussing with the local authorities within the next one and a half months.

The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) does not have its own venue. As the main venue Bangabandhu National Stadium is currently undergoing renovation work, BFF has been conducting games at district stadiums for the past three seasons. The district stadiums are under the National Sports Council and under the supervision of the District Sports Association.
