The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has awarded a bonus of 1.5 crore taka to the women’s football team in recognition of their historic triumph at the SAFF Championship in Kathmandu, Nepal, where they secured the title for the second consecutive time.

This reward is in addition to the one crore taka bonus previously announced by the Ministry of Sports. The decision was unveiled at the first meeting of the newly elected BFF committee, led by president Tabith Awal, on 9 November 2024.

The BFF’s gesture underscores the team’s remarkable achievements and their role in elevating Bangladesh's status in South Asian football. The bonus aims to recognize the players' dedication, with special mention to captain Sabina Khatun, whose leadership has been crucial to their success.

In addition to the bonus announcement, the BFF also formalized the creation of several committees. A finance committee was appointed for a four-year term, while other committees will serve for one year, marking the start of a new era under Tabith Awal's leadership.
