Dhaka Abahani blank Ctg. Abahani 3-0 in Fed Cup

Dhaka, 10 Dec -Abahani Limited Dhaka blanked Chittagong Abahani Limited by 3-0 goals in their opening group B match of the Bashundhara Group Federation Cup football held at Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla on Tuesday. 

In the proceeding, forwards Sumon Reza and Mohammad Ibrahim, and defender Yeasin Khan scored one goal each for Abahani Limited, who led the first half by 1-0 goal. 

Sumon Reza opened an account scoring the first goal for Abahani Limited in the 17th minute while after the resumption Ibrahim doubled the lead scoring the second goal in the 76th minute of the match.

Yeasin completed Abahani's tally scoring the third goal in the 87th minute.

Abahani Limited, the most successful club in the Federation Cup winning the title of twelve occasions, clearly dominated the proceeding, especially in the second half and notched their deserving victory on the day while Chittagong Abahani were totally off-colored.

The popular sky blue Dhanmondi outfit Abahani will play their second group match against their arch-rival Mohammedan Sporting Club on January 7 next while the port city team Chittagong Abahani Limited will meet Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited on December 24 at Bashundhara Kings Arena.
