BFF award one star rating to 24 academies

Dhaka - The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has awarded one star rating to a further twenty four academies(six academies inside Dhaka Division and eighteen academies from other divisions) in recognition of their outstanding development work as they fulfilled BFF, AFC and FIFA recognized criteria, said a BFF press release today.

In this regard, a ceremony was virtually organized today, attended by the BFF executive committee members Zakir Hossain Choudhury and Mohidur Rahman Miraz.

Federation’s general secretary  Abu Nayeem Shohag said: "We see more players being introduced into Football by the efforts of these academies, the coaches, the officials and stakeholders. This is a healthy situation we are in at the moment, amidst the global pandemic."

The federation is assisting the District Football Association to better support clubs, Academies and to bring together all elements of football development.

The federation will directly continue to assist academies to sustain and increase football participation and promote and raise the profile of quality academies, he added.

It can be mentioned that the BFF are acknowledging a number of academies across the country as part of the academy accreditation scheme from last year.BSS
