Mahbub rescues Mohammedan

Dhaka, 9 May - Mohammedan lost valuable points as they were forced to play a 1-1 draw by Fortis FC in the Bashundhara Group Bangladesh Premier League football held at Bashundhara Kings arena practice ground in the capital Friday.

In the day's match, forward Piash Ahmed Nova scored for Fortis while defender 
Mohammad Mahbub Alam netted for Mohammedan, who trained the first half by 1-0 goal. 

Nova put Fortis ahead scoring the first goal in the 23rd minute while after 
the breather Mahbub Alam restored the parity for Mohammedan in the 73rd 
minute of the match.

With the day's outcome, Mohammedan, remained top of the league table with 35 
points from 14 matches while placed sixth position in the table with 19 
points playing the same number of matches. 

Earlier, in the first leg, Mohammedan edged past Fortis Football Club at 
Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla,

On Saturday, Abahani Limited, Dhaka will play against Bangladesh Police 
Football Club at Mymensingh district Stadium in Mymensingh while old Dhaka 
outfit Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society take on Fakirerpool Young Men's 
Club at Birshreshtha Flight Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj.BSS
