Bangladesh face Sri Lanka again tomorrow

Defending champions Bangladesh face Sri Lanka in their return match of the four-nation South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) U-20 Women's Championship 2025 scheduled to be held at Bashundhara sports ground in the capital tomorrow (Saturday).


The match kicks off at 7 pm, following the day's another match between Nepal and Bhutan that begins at 3 pm at the same venue.
 
The hosts currently dominate the league table with 12 points from four matches while Sri Lanka yet to open their account playing the same number of matches.

The tournament favorite Bangladesh earlier crushed Sri Lanka by 9-1 goals and edged past Nepal by 3-2 goals, defeated Bhutan 4-1 and blanked the same opponent 3-0 in the return match.

All losers Sri Lanka, on the other hand, lost to Bangladesh 9-1, 5-0 to Bhutan, 7-0 to Nepal and again 7-0 with against the same opponents.

Bangladesh will play their last match against Nepal on July 21.

Only four teams-- Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka-- are participating in the sixth edition of the tournament. The team that tops the league table after a double round-robin will be crowned champion, reports BSS.
